About me 

Hi, I’m Elizabeth – the founder and photographer behind Alderwood Equine Photography.

I was born and raised in Maryland, where I was bitten by the horse bug young. If I had any free time, you'd find me in boots and breeches at the barn. Photography became a hobby of mine a few years later, and I was able to take darkroom and digital photography classes in high school.

Horses lead me to Kentucky—the heart of horse country—where I moved to attend college. Here in Kentucky, I fell in love with the thoroughbred industry and have loved exploring photography at the track.
